The visitors listenedto the lecture Wandering through the First Republic and returned to time ontheir own. There was no shortage of historic cars and period clothes in thevilla.

"The First Republic rampage took place again instyle," says Kateřina Skočdopole, the organizer of the event and themanager of Villa Hrdlička. "This type of event really suits an Art Nouveauvilla," adds Mrs. Skočdopole. Ladies dressed, make-up and combed a la LídaBaarová and other First Republic beauties walked in the villa. "Just fortoday, it's worth living," the villa carried, including other period hits.

In front of the villa was an exhibition of veterans from the1920s and 1930s, inside a period toy and a First Republic office. Children alsohad fun, for example with a puppet show or a workshop. Everyone took photos asa souvenir.

The event was supported by the city of Česká Lípa. We canlook forward to two more lectures accompanied by an exhibition of historicalobjects and photographs on 4 and 18 October 2018 from 17:00 to 19:00.
